From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.Eurofins Environmental Testing Southwest is searching for a Laboratory Technician I in Tustin, CA.The Sample Preparation Laboratory Technician I is responsible for utilizing general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs, to weigh, digest, and prepare soil and water samples for GC and GCMS analysis.Laboratory Technician I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Sample preparation duties may include, but are not limited to the following responsibilities:Evaluate backlog and prioritize daily workload based on required due dates and holding times.Retrieve samples from sample storage for preparation.Weigh and measure sample aliquots for preparation.Document required sample preparation details and observations.Prepare reagents and standards for daily use.Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with the laboratory quality assurance program.Perform daily duties while adhering to the environmental health and safety policies.Wash laboratory glassware as needed.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.Active communication with department manager, analytical team, and project managers about job status, rush ETA, sample matrix issues, holding time, etc.Assist other areas of the laboratory as needed.Basic Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.Must be able to work this shift:

Sunday - Thursday, 7am - 4pm.The ideal candidate would possess:General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.Basic mathematical skills.Ability to learn quickly and multi-task.Work independently.Work within time constraints.Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.Compensation range:

$18 - $21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.Position is full-time with possible overtime and weekends as needed.Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes; the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Tustin, CA are encouraged to apply.We offer excellent full-time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation, personal days, and dental and vision options.We support your development!
