Job Description:
The Senior Corporate Development Analyst will be a key member of the team to support AMETEK's global acquisition efforts. Strategic acquisitions are a key growth strategy for AMETEK. The Senior Analyst will work with, and learn from, experienced leaders in M&A, with a defined and proven process in place.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support all phases of the transaction execution process for acquisitions from ideation through evaluation to post-close integration work
Develop detailed financial models and pricing packages on acquisition candidates to reflect business and market conditions
Work with Corporate functions and business unit management teams in addressing key deal and valuation issues
Assist in conducting financial due diligence and managing the diligence process for acquisition candidates
Support the identification, evaluation and prioritization of strategic growth platforms for AMETEK
Work closely with the members of the business development and corporate development teams to identify and research potential acquisition candidates
Manage the department’s acquisition candidate and contact databases
Communicate with investment bankers to assess acquisition candidates
Undertake and prepare materials for special projects for the executive team and board meetings
Requirements for consideration:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Engineering or related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred. CFA Certification a plus.
2 - 5 years of investment banking, corporate development, M&A consulting, or valuation experience
Experience with acquisition and due diligence processes a plus
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including discounted cash flow or probability analysis or statistical modeling
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate with all levels of management including senior executives.
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented culture.
