We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their big data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.As a big data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.Work with us to use big data for good. The world can’t wait.You Have:5+ years of experience with application development in an On-prem and cloud environment5+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale3+ years of experience with designing and developing data pipelines for retrieving, parsing and processing structured and unstructured data3+ years of experience with design and development of data integration using Databricks Delta Lake and Unity Environment3+ years of experience with big data concepts, including Data Lake, Delta Lakehouse, or Data Warehouse3+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analyticsExperience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environmentAbility to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, support project team to scale, and monitor and operate data platformsPublic TrustBachelor’s degreeNice If You Have:Experience with Unity CatalogExperience with Python, SQL, Scala, or JavaExperience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scriptingExperience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google CloudExperience with distributed data and computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, AWS EMR, or KafkaExperience working on real-time data and streaming applicationsExperience with NoSQL implementation, including MongoDB or CassandraExperience with data warehousing using AWS Redshift, MySQL, or SnowflakeExperience with Agile engineering practicesTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD).
