Oracle Database Developer
in Houston, TX.Duration : 6 MonthsLocation : Houston, TXPay Rate : Up to $45 an hourWe currently have an opening for a skilled Oracle Database Developer. The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic background and be able to solve problems and suggest innovative solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the proper day-to-day operation of the high-level control system. The position locality is at the IAH airport in Houston Texas, and will be the point of contact for the global support team headquartered in Dallas and Germany.Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to participate in testing, commissioning, and supporting the automated Early Bag System. The candidate will need to be capable of interfacing with the local stakeholders, planning and prioritizing the interventions, research issues, and solutions, and will reach out to the offsite support team for additional support.Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Master's degree with one year of experience developing SQL & PL/SQL scripts, knowledge of Oracle database architecture, and data modeling. (New graduates must have used database technology skills in their academic projects.)Experience with Oracle database architecture, data modeling, and administration.Experience with a relational database query language like Oracle PL/SQL.Experience with the health status of an Oracle Database and performance tuning.Experience with installation and configuration of Oracle 19c Database.Understanding of Windows server configurations and maintenance.Strong written and oral communication skills.Willingness to work odd shifts when required.The candidate must be able to negotiate stairs and catwalks on the job site and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to optimize SQL queries and database performance using tools like SQL Tuning Advisor, Explain Plan, and AWR (Automatic Workload Repository).Experience with Oracle Integration technologies like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate, or Oracle Streams for data synchronization and integration.
