Speech Therapist Per Diem-ESCR

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the following:Delivery of treatment services to children ranging in ages from 0-21 yearsEvaluation servicesJob-related department responsibilitiesThis position is Per Diem - hours/schedule based on the needs of the Clinic.Position Functions and Responsibilities:Provide treatment for patients ages 0-21Perform ongoing therapeutic feeding services as assignedSupervise graduate students or CFY candidates as assignedConduct initial Speech Language evaluations and re-evaluations as assignedConduct oromotor feeding assessments as assignedConduct annual hearing screenings of children on caseloadParticipate in all departmental in-services and staff development activitiesDevelop and review patient care plans in conjunction with PhysiatristParticipate in clinical quality assurance initiativesProvide patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentationComplete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:Daily notation of therapyAll progress reports with updatesRehabilitation rounds/staff conferencesOther activities that may be assigned from time to time, i.e. splintingComply with established ESCR policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments, etc.EDUCATIONAL & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology with ASHA (American Speech/Language & Hearing Association) current CCC status. Must maintain license in good standing.EXPERIENCE:2 years’ experience in a clinical pediatric environmentHOURLY RATE:$80/Hr.
