ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking an expert-level Cloud Engineer with software development and system administration experience. As a Cloud Engineer, you will use your experience to formulate and implement automation solutions to support application and systems monitoring in an AWS cloud-based system. You will provide DevOps-like support to a critical production team assisting with the implementation and maintenance of Dev, Test, and Production Linux environments. Your duties will include system administration of large complex systems running Apache NiFi for transporting and processing huge data sets and streams. You will continue to grow and evolve your Cloud experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

QualificationsRequired

Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

BS Degree with at least 12 years of systems engineering, DevSecOps, or software engineering; 14 years of experience with no degree

Team focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in a team environment using agile development

Expert-level experience with AWS development and administration

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud

Ability to contribute to software systems using Python, Java, or similar programming languages

Demonstrable experience with Sponsor cloud solutions

Demonstrable experience in Linux systems administration and script development using Python or Bash scripts

Experience working across multiple networks/domains

Ability to write technical documentation for security (ATO), architecture, and implementation guides

Experience in CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, etc.

Experience with Terraform

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes

Familiarity with Apache NiFi, AWS Glue, Kafka, or other data distribution and processing tools

Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence

Strong ability to identify and solve problems across many different systems, applications, and operating systems

Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
