Kingfisher's core competency is technology-enabled services with a specific focus on national security.ResponsibilitiesThe Network Analyst (NA) is a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides analytical support to various internal customers. The Network Analysis team is composed of analysts who address distinct areas of telecommunications. The successful candidate is likely to be a subject matter expert in one of the following:Telecom and data transport and switching engineering in support of traditional telcosData center network engineering in support of intra- and inter-data center transportNetwork architect or cellular network engineering for 3G, 4G, or SG to include core network (EPC) and radio network engineeringDuties:

This Network Analyst performs the following functions:Coordinate with the customer's other multidisciplinary teams to provide timely and accurate network analysis regarding the logical and physical routes of key telecommunications networksCollaborate with team members and other organizations to evaluate the role and value of potential network operationsDisplay a mastery of network operations, principles, and best practicesCreatively employ a mastery of the telecom domain to support the multidisciplinary teams in providing direct mapping and graphics inputs into the customer's modeling toolPerform analysis on wireless and wireline circuit-switched and packet-switched telecommunications networksPerform analysis on transmission protocolsPerform analysis on network technologiesPresent analysis to a range of technical and non-technical audiencesServe as a focal point for tracking and understanding emerging technologiesMaintain appropriate technical training to ensure skills and tradecraft are kept current with evolving technologyPerform other duties as assigned at the direction of project managementRequired QualificationsMust be a United States CitizenMinimum of six (6) years of experience specific to the skills identified in a position's Qualification Summary, plus the Education qualification. A senior level practitioner with extensive experience or training related to a particular skill, language, system, technology, or tradecraft.Experience with commercial telecommunications networks, providing physical and logical network routes to answer strategic requirementsDemonstrated knowledge of Network Management Systems (NMS), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), or Software Defined Networking (SDN)Demonstrated knowledge of network elements, including switches, routers, multiplexers, and wireless and wireline transport infrastructureDemonstrated understanding of network technologies, protocols, systems, and equipmentDemonstrated advanced knowledge of, or experience with, one or more of the following:Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)Data networks (IP, MPLS, traffic engineering, Open Flow)Dedicated/private communications networksVoIP networks, Softswitch technology, or Session Border Controllers (SBCs)Fiber optic cable characteristics, engineering, installation, and maintenanceRF-related technologies (cellular, microwave, millimeter wave, VSAT)Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) technologyDemonstrated expert-level knowledge of the OSI model at layer 1, 2, or 3Private sector work experience with an industry-leading telco (Verizon, AT&T, SPRINT) or hardware provider (Cisco, Lucent, Qualcomm, Nokia). Other similar industry leaders are acceptable.Foreign language is considered a plusDesired Certifications:CCNA or CCNP certificationYears of Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years of commercial experience in one of the following roles:Facility Engineer or Network Planner (TDM and/or Data)Large-scale networking engineering across multiple packet fabrics, such as Google B4Core network engineer or radio network engineer with experience in 3G, 4G and/or SG engineeringDegree Requirement:Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, e.g., Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.Other STEM majors with strong analytic and technical acumen are acceptableBachelor's degree related to the specific skill from an accredited college or university, preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement:No degree plus ten (10) years relevant work experienceAssociate's degree plus eight (8) years relevant work experienceBachelor's degree plus six (6) years relevant work experienceMinimum Clearance Requirement:
