Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a

Principal Systems Engineer/Sr Principal Systems Engineer

based out of

Linthicum, MD .

What You’ll get to Do:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

This position can be filled as a Level 3 or a Level 4 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 5+ years of experience; 3 years with a master's or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 9+ years of experience; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD; or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Active TS/SCI and willingness to sit for a polygraph.

Experience with Interface Control Document development.

Experience with JIRA.

Experience in gathering requirements, leading exercises or demonstrations.

Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Maintain existing operations procedures up-to-date to include lessons learned from real-time performance.

Develop new procedures as required.

Interface with program and customer personnel.

Hands on experience developing and performing real-time executable mission plans.

Familiarity with Mission Operations Centers architectures and interfaces.

Strong written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with poly.

Detailed familiarity with space system operational documentation.

Mentor newer members of the operations team.

Experience working on Agile programs and methodology.

Understanding and implementation of Model Based Systems Engineering.

Salary Range:

$102,400 - $153,600Salary Range 2:

$127,000 - $190,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
