Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for a driven, creative, and energetic Solutions Engineer to join our team! As a Solutions Engineer, you will report directly to the Director, Enterprise Sales Engineering. You will have a proven track record for getting things done and maintaining a high level of ownership and accountability. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Sales to design, sell and support solutions to customers utilizing the entire suite of Brightspeed services.

As A Solutions Engineer, you will have the following duties:

Work with Sales to design, sell, and support solutions to customers utilizing the entire suite of Brightspeed services. Work with customers with a consultative approach to understand their business challenges, develop, and communicate solutions to address those challenges.

Support Sales and Account teams with pre-sale proposal generation for all Brightspeed solutions, including pricing assistance, equipment design, network, and technical documentation.

Develop and articulate value statements based on understanding of voice, data, Internet, and network solutions and designs to internal and external customers.

Assist in preparing, completing, and presenting all technical designs and paperwork to the Engineering and Service Delivery teams for post-sale handoff during the Project Management and Implementation.

Work with sales to represent Brightspeed on customer appointments as a subject matter technology expert specializing in network and technology services.

Develop collaborative relationships with internal organizations including Service delivery, Service assurance, IT, Product Management, Network Operations, Local Network Planning and Access Management, Finance, and others.

Qualifications:

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

10+ years of experience in sales engineering.

Knowledge of technology and telecommunications service, including understanding of networks and network design.

Understanding of voice, data, Internet, and network/managed services and underlying technology that delivers those services.

Knowledge of sales strategies, processes, systems, and approaches.

Presentation and negotiation skills.

Customer service orientation.

Ability to speak with others and convey information effectively.
