Our physician-led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care, and more than 30 different specialties.Job DescriptionThe Radiology Tech operates equipment and performs Radiologic procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment.Performs diagnostic radiography studies by following established protocols and selecting correct exposure factors.Utilizes the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce a technically excellent radiograph to assist the radiologist in diagnosis.Practices radiation safety through appropriate use of radiation protection devices and adherence to safety standards.Accurately inputs procedural data in RIS and PACS to capture critical information regarding exams.Performs exams utilizing DR, CR, and Panorex, annotating and QA transferring all images into PACS.Provides clinical supervision and instruction to students.Participates in additional projects and meetings necessary to maintain best practice standards.
QualificationsGraduate AMA approved Radiologic Tech program preferred.Current CT Radiographer License required.Demonstrates competencies to meet age-specific patient needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Works effectively as a team member within the department.CPR validation within 3 months of hire.Maintain continuing education credits.
