Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission vision and values into nursing practice at Good Samaritan Medical Center.The Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care provided to individuals and groups. This includes health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or dignified death for those they serve. The Registered Nurse may delegate nursing tasks to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, while retaining full responsibility for patient outcomes.The Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment, clinical, and organizational skills, as well as computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The ability to lift, transfer, and move patients is required, along with effective verbal and written communication skills in English. The Registered Nurse should also be able to perform necessary mathematical computations for treatment protocols.Minimum Requirements
