GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts located in Orlando, FL. This position will be responsible for using knowledge and experience to design, develop, test, and maintain computer software and applications in support of our corporate initiatives. Our typical applications will support in-park and corporate based team members such as network and database needs, point of sale requirements, back-office IT support and infrastructure, ticketing and payments, and other digital-based services.Design, code, implement, and maintain software applications in support of SeaWorld objectivesAssist and adhere to defined coding standardsFacilitate and support proper technology selection to support the technical needs of project initiativesCollaborate with the architecture team to design and build effective solutionsMentor and support development team members in writing effective and efficient code, performing code reviews, and upholding development standardsDirectly contribute to source repositories following appropriate branch, pull request, and merge strategiesOther projects as assignedQualifications
College degree in Software Engineering or equivalent work experienceThree to five years' experience as a software engineer; 7-10 years' experience without a degreeExtensive knowledge of industry standard programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, C, or C++Robust experience with source control tools (ex. Git), build and deployment pipelines (ex. Jenkins, ADO), CI/CD practices, and test automation (unit, integration, performance, and functional)Expert in software development and computer operating systemsProficient in algorithm analysis, complexity, and performance estimationAbility to apply software engineering best practices to deliver effective and maintainable solutions following an Agile methodologyAbility to debug, trace, and evaluate software and systemsAbility to design, code, and deploy scalable solutions using industry standard patterns such as microservices, service-oriented architectures, and domain driven design principlesDemonstrates ownership of delivered software solutionsProactively evaluates production software, remediates defects, identifies and addresses performance concerns, and develops high quality, production ready softwareSelf-starter able to drive work to completion and ensure user acceptanceExperience with secrets and configuration management a plusLeadership and mentoring skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to explain technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiencesGood presentation skills; able to present to all levels of an organizationMust be available to work onsite in Orlando, FLGLOTECH, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
