As the
Senior IT Enterprise Architect , you will lead and influence technology and architecture in IT by providing consultation and design services across various business teams that interact with IDEXX IT Centers of Excellence. This role involves designing and implementing integrated software solutions, ensuring native-cloud architecture best practices, driving platform innovation, and leveraging emerging generative AI technologies as we continue to expand our digital transformation across the enterprise. drives technological innovation and architectural excellence across IDEXX IT, other business units, and R&D. This team is responsible for designing and implementing integrated software solutions, adhering to cloud-native best practices, and leveraging cutting-edge generative AI technologies. They manage large ecosystem initiatives, influence development teams, and IT Centers of Excellence, and operate the Enterprise Architecture Board, providing governance and oversight for applications interacting with IT systems, NetOps, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.In this role, you will work in these areas...Architecture and Solution Design:Provide expertise on software technology platforms and services to maximize investment opportunity and utilization.Design and implement integrated technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business needs.Demonstrated expertise in standard architectural patterns and best practices for designing distributed systems in commercial cloud.Document architecture states (past, present, future) and lead design discussions across the organization.Architect technical landscapes for new projects, including Enterprise AI applications.Technical Program Leadership:Manage activities on large ecosystem initiatives across business units/group programs and projects.Influence across a matrix of development teams and IT centers of excellence, to shape innovative solutions that fit the business need.Coordinate work with internal developers, vendors, and contractors when necessary.Innovation and Technology Evaluation:Develop and execute an innovation strategy that aligns with IT EA and organizational goals.Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on IT enterprise architecture.Be an expert in industry trends and best practices to lead innovation discussions and development analysis.Generative AI and API Integration:Drive innovation to scale efficiencies and productivity with Generative AI technologies and tools.Drive the development and oversight of generative AI and API functionality.Ensure alignment of enterprise AI architectures with technical and product leads across the business.Project Management and Implementation:Oversee the architecture lifecycle of technology and innovation in projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, IT governance, compliance, security and regulatory expectations.Work closely with project leads to estimate resource needs and duration of work.Provide technical leadership and support to product development teams in complex ecosystems.Enterprise Architecture Governance:Develop and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and standards.Ensure alignment between enterprise and solution architectures, and compliance with architectural standards.Drive continuous improvement, to optimize enterprise architecture over their lifecycle.Performance and Compliance:Utilize data, metrics, and system tools to ensure efficiency and maximize customer experience.Ensure platform security and compliance, aligning technology with overall guidelines.Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:Communicate with related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues.Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project success.What You Will Need to Succeed:10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology, and innovation roles.Proven track record of delivering successful innovation projects and solutions.Experience with API development and integration.Experience with cloud computing technologies.Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent project management and communication abilities.Why IDEXX?We're proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
