Job Description: Software Engineer I - Carrier Collaboration

Location: Hybrid out of our Coppell, TX Office (remote not available)

Overview: Blue Yonder, a leading supply chain software company, is seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer I to join our team working on the Carrier Collaboration product. Shippers spend a substantial amount of time and effort in onboarding carriers to their network. Carrier onboarding activities include communicating the connectivity processes with carriers, specifying the EDI or API specifications, supporting the maps, testing and documentation. Onboarding times range from a few days to months depending on the complexity of the shipper and carrier systems. This time negatively impacts the productivity of all parties - Shippers and Carriers. As a Software Engineer I, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that empower businesses to operate at their best.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design and develop J2EE-based applications and features for Blue Yonder's Transportation Planning product.Utilize Spring framework to build scalable and robust software components for the product.Implement event-driven architecture using Azure Event Hub for real-time data processing and communication.Participate in DevOps practices to ensure continuous integration and deployment of software updates.Contribute to version control using Github to manage code repositories and collaborative development.Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues to maintain product reliability.Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices and improve coding skills.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in software development.Tech Stack:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.1+ years of experience in Java and J2EE technologies for web application development.Familiarity with the Spring framework for building scalable and maintainable software components.Knowledge of event-driven architecture and experience with Azure Event Hub is a plus.Exposure to DevOps practices and experience in continuous integration and deployment.Proficiency in version control using Github or similar tools.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for software development and technology.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Education:

The salary range for this position is: USD $72,420.00 – $104,922.00.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
