Senior Data Engineer

Bezos Academy, Seattle, Washington, us, 98127

As the Senior Data Engineer at Bezos Academy, you will use your expertise building simple and secure data pipelines and data warehousing systems in collaboration with a team of enthusiastic data technologists and educators to provide the best possible tuition-free preschool experience to children and families in underserved communities.

Our team is passionate about our cause and caring for each other. We are fun-loving, nerdy, diligent, curious, humble, altruistic problem-solvers. We are looking for someone who will foster our caring and inclusive team norms and values while we build great data products together. Along with our team, you will work closely with our education, operations, software, and other supporting teams to define data needs, evaluate technology, and design, build, and maintain the data systems we use to assist our teachers and staff, understand our impact, and continuously improve our schools.

If this sounds like a blast, and you have a successful history of designing and building simple, secure, dependable, high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics systems, we might be the team you are looking for. If you thrive in a remote-first, start-up environment, collaborating with a small team, taking on a variety of responsibilities, and most importantly, if you are inspired by our mission, and motivated to use data to help nurture the potential in every child, we should connect.
