Project Sales Engineer , you will be responsible for developing, selling, and supporting management of HVAC design-build retrofit projects and assisting in growing our energy service business. You will be marketing and selling to facility owners and managers in various commercial markets including hospitality, healthcare, commercial property management, local government, mission-critical, and industrial. This is a fast-paced environment with a large client base and continuous project opportunities.Responsibilities include:Sales / Marketing / Project Management- Identification of prospects in assigned market- Promptly follow up on leads and referrals- Establish customer rapport and identify needs- Properly apply company pricing- Effective sales presentations- Interpret mechanical drawings, equipment, and job conditions- Appraise and survey mechanical systems and determine maintenance, repair and modification requirements- Maintain and leverage Subcontractor relationships- Aggressively manage quotes to close sales- Maintain an active backlog of quotes to assure booking goal is consistently met- Redeem annual booking plan in assigned markets- Maintain assigned key accounts at planned booking levels- Assist Project Manager in execution of project, including procurement of equipment and coordination with technicians and subcontractors- Work with customers throughout project to ensure customer satisfaction and to develop change orders for work outside of the initial project scopeBusiness Development:- Identifies partnership opportunities and capitalizes on "add-on" sales opportunities- Achieves "add on" revenue goals- Assists in the identification of strategic accounts- Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities.Branch Specific:Assist with other tasks as requested from Management including but not limited to: sales presentations, customer seminars, assisting with general office tasks when applicable.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Average starting salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year plus competitive incentive plan- Medical, Dental and Vision- Flexible Savings Medical and Dependent Care options- Life and ADD Insurance- Long-Term Disability Insurance- 401k and Profit Sharing- Paid Vacation, Holiday and Sick Time- Auto allowance and Gas card- Company cell phone- Professional Training and Industry Certification- Continuing Education Reimbursement

Physical Requirements:- Carry, place and work off of step ladders and extension ladders- Climb ladders to access and survey equipment- Work in inclement weather- Carry a tool bag as necessary to access and survey equipment- Work in confined space area(s)- Work around chemicals- Ability to work in excess of eight (8) hour days when necessary- Drive a company vehicle when requiredQualifications:The following qualifications along with individuals previous work experience will be considered by the company when evaluating applicants:- College degree, Mechanical or Energy Engineering preferred- CEM, PE and other certifications / licenses helpful- 3-5 years experience in the mechanical, controls, or building industry- Prior estimating skills helpful- Energy efficiency and Automation system experience- Professional image- Excellent communications skills and ability to engage in professional networking- Demonstrated completion of professional sales training courses helpfulTolin Mechanical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
