Mission Analytics Team Lead / Data Scientist

LinQuest is seeking a Mission Analytics Team Lead / Data Scientist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. Successful candidates should have experience developing and implementing automation, machine learning, and analysis products to solve various problems across multiple domains. Experience and familiarity with the space domain is preferred.
An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Responsibilities:Lead a team of data scientists and analysts, helping them deploy software solutions and personally develop and deploy Python software tools.Understand customer requirements, adjust development efforts and techniques to meet those requirements, and effectively communicate results.Develop and implement algorithms, data structures, and applications to solve various problems across multiple domains.Coordinate with senior managers and decision-makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives.Mentor junior developers and Operations Research analysts on current software lifecycle best practices.Work as part of a contractor team alongside a broader team of government and contract staff.
Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in operations research, computer science, or related technical field.10+ years of experience.Experience with Python.Experience with System Design.Experience developing and implementing automation and AI/ML algorithms.High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.Ability to work well as part of a team.Ability to quickly learn new technologies and development stacks in response to government customer needs.Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data.Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Experience:A Masters or Ph.D. in operations research, computer science, or a theoretical science field.15+ years of experience.Experience in DoD space and joint force programs.Experience with the Warp Core and/or Envision platforms.Experience with data structures, design patterns, CICD, and system architecture.Experience with rational and no-SQL database systems.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from approximately $160,000 to $180,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
