Responsibilities
Arcfield is looking for experienced
engineers to join a skilled, highly respected, and long-standing team supporting Space Protection-related Modeling and Simulation Analysis. The successful candidate should have domain knowledge of
diverse space and ground platforms and sensor phenomenology. They will be part of a team developing, tailoring, maintaining, and using a robust capability of engineering models and simulators in support of predictive analysis of complex systems. Responsibilities may include:Perform space protection evaluations of threat avoidance (course of action) conceptsDevelop, maintain, and deliver integrated software tools that can be used to evaluate the application of satellite protection technologies and tradecraft throughout the system engineering lifecycle.Perform M&S to support development and tailoring of software, algorithms, and technologiesPerform Orbital analyses and trade studiesPerform Maneuver Determination and AnalysisCampaign Modeling and Scenario development, modeling, and analysis
Qualifications
Required:BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphExperience with space protection evaluations and collision avoidance evaluationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative technical solutions or approaches to problemsIntelligence community domain knowledge, and demonstrated understanding of user needs and operational environmentsUnderstanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verificationExperience developing M&S engineering code to solve hard problems and create processes for repeatable results.Desired:Experience in Radar and Electro-optical EngineeringExperience in Atmospheric ModelingExperience in Data Mining, Analysis, Performance Analysis, Predictive Analytics and Reporting using various methods and toolsExperience in developing software applications and data architectures supporting systems engineering/development effortsFamiliarity with formal Software TestingDegree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software), Imaging Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field
