Position Description:

Kimel Psychological Services (KPS) is growing! Our specialized practice provides a range of services for children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, gifted, twice-exceptional, and mood disorders. We are seeking a Master’s Level Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) or Doctoral Level Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) full-time to join our team to offer in-person and telehealth therapy in Denver, Colorado to children and young adults with developmental disabilities, ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, and comorbid anxiety and mood disorders. This position would help the provider avoid all of the administrative aspects of a mental health practice, as aspects of billing, submitting insurance claims, and verifying insurance coverage would be taken care of by the practice.

Kimel Psychological Services is a group practice and we accept private pay, Health First Colorado, and Kaiser. We strongly believe that quality therapeutic and diagnostic services should be financially accessible to all and offering insurance-based services is a small way we see to provide social justice to marginalized communities. We are seeking someone to join our team who holds similar values toward the mental health system. At Kimel Psychological Services we employ a collaborative approach in working with families, schools, and communities, and are looking for someone who is passionate about psychotherapy (especially using CBT, DBT, family systems, ACT, and related techniques) and eager to work and grow within a supportive group practice. We have a strong referral base and are looking for someone who can join our team immediately upon hire.

About the job:

Seeking full-time therapist to provide individual and family counseling to the population that we serve.

Support clients and their families through therapy by assessing their clinical needs while integrating thoughtfully conceptualized and flexibly implemented evidence-based approaches.

Collaborate with the client’s existing care team, including school personnel and other allied professionals working with the client.

Conduct culturally sensitive individual and family therapy with individuals and families for participants who are ages 2-30 years (age of clients is based on the clinician’s background and preference).

Opportunity to co-lead one weekly social skills group.

Opportunity to supervise trainees depending on level of experience and interest.

Participate in weekly group consultation with clinicians in the practice.

Actively promote healthy developmental disability awareness through participation in trainings, community outreach, etc.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed in the state of Colorado with DORA with a degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical psychology, social work- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a therapist in Colorado.

Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited graduate program or university.

Eligible for credentialing with Medicaid and Kaiser.

How to Apply:

If interested, please send a letter of interest along with your curriculum vitae/resume with "Licensed Master’s Level Psychologist" in the subject line to lila@kimelpsych.com (you can also call Dr. Kimel directly at 303 910 7664 for more information).
