Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesHoag is looking for a Sr. Business Process Analyst to support hospital revenue cycle areas. The Sr. Business Process Analyst analyzes a spectrum of moderately complex to complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Analyzes business and user needs, prepares detailed specifications from which applications are implemented. Revises existing system logic as necessary. Evaluates and supports developing system processes and procedures. Writes and maintains specifications. Produces technical writing in support of Hoag’s IT Policies and Procedures. Prepares time and cost estimates for projects.The Sr. Business Process Analyst leads small to medium sized projects, following the Hoag IT Project Management Methodology, that coordinate the overall analysis, user requirements, hardware/software requirements, and functional requirements to deliver a service based on customer specifications. Will track project metrics to include schedule, budget, scope, issues, and risks. Guides and advises less-experienced systems analyst personnel.Education and ExperienceBA in Business, Health Care or IT or related field (or equivalent work experience)Minimum of 5 years of Business AnalysisTechnical writing experience within a project environment documenting small to medium sized experience with the workflows of one or more assigned business or clinical functional areasRequires the ability to produce technical writing in support of Hoag’s IT Policies and ProceduresExposure to ITIL, CMMI, PMI preferredMasters or PhD degree preferredLicense RequiredCurrent CA driver’s license for local travelCertifications PreferredIIBA CertificationHIPPA HITRUST and HITECH CertificationCandidate for Project Management Professional CertificationHoag is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
