Choose from top medical and dental insurance programs; plan for your future with tax-deferred investing through the UW retirement options; enjoy generous vacation and sick leave policies; and protect yourself and your family with life and long-term disability insurance.$3,000 Sign-On Bonus eligible new employees joining UW MedicineWORK SCHEDULEFull time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per weekWednesday/Thursday 8:30am-7pm, Friday/Saturday 8am-6:30pmDay ShiftPOSITION HIGHLIGHTSPerform radiographic procedures as directed by a clinic providerContribute to the development and evaluation of radiology processes and proceduresPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare patients for radiological procedures. Verify the site of the exam and instruct patients regarding procedures.Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis.Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.Deliver images to PACS for reading/interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists.Maintain radiology room stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment.REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONSSatisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved program and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry, or eligible to have ARRT completed within the employee's probationary period.Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, before completion of probationary period.ABOUT UW MEDICINE PRIMARY CAREUW Medicine Primary Care is dedicated to improving the health of the public; our providers and staff are the cornerstones of our success.
