Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, and Divergent is now expanding to support mission critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector.PurposeThe candidate will play a role in executing critical laboratory procedures aimed at supporting the Divergent Adaptive Production System.The RolePerform daily Material Laboratory activities including but not limited to metal powder/adhesive receiving inspection, metallurgical specimen preparation, chemical analysis of materials, and metal/adhesive characterization.Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and tools (cleanliness, standard maintenance, etc.)Responsible for conducting inventory of laboratory consumables and chemicals.Assist customer related characterization requests as needed.Assist production related activities, including material handling and management.Assist technical staff with research and development efforts.Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma, Current college student (chemical, mechanical, or materials engineering) with a 3.0 minimum GPAAbility to carry up to 50 lbsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with metallurgical sample preparationFamiliarity with chemicals and corrosivesWork EnvironmentManufacturing shop floorMetallurgical Laboratory$29.77 - $37.21 an hourWhat You’ll Get:Holistic Compensation Package:
