NOTE:
This position is a competitive position, requiring applicants to meet minimum qualifications established for the position and successfully meet civil service examination requirements. A provisional appointment may be made to this position. Permanent appointment will be dependent upon participation in the examination AND being reachable from the resulting eligible list.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include primarily representing the County in Family Court for JD and PINS matters, handling litigation in State and Federal Court, contract drafting and negotiations, and advising various County departments. This is a full-time position. The applicant must be an admitted attorney.Application Process:

Incumbents in this position are required by the County Legislature to reside within the County of Broome, OR an adjoining county (TIOGA, CORTLAND, DELAWARE OR CHENANGO) at all times during their employment in the title.SPECIAL NOTE:
Incumbent is designated as an Emergency Operations Center staff member by the County Executive.
