Position Overview

We are seeking a

Digital Sculptor Tech Expert

to join the Aerodynamics team at Navistar! The Aerodynamics team is responsible for executing research and development in commercial vehicle aerodynamics to deliver Best-in-Class performance through our products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) models for Wind Tunnel, Simulation, and Track testing. The models you generate will be used to guide the next generation of Navistar trucks.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of functional aerodynamic models to be used in wind tunnel testing and simulationCreate concept surfaces for aerodynamic studiesConvert Industrial design concepts into aerodynamic modelsSimplify production CAD geometry for input into aerodynamic simulationsMaintain digital inventory of wind tunnel partsPrepare 3D geometry for rapid prototypingDevelop solutions to design and model problemsMentor and train less experienced digital sculptors on the team

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering/Industrial Design TechnologyAt least 8 years of industrial design experienceAt least 1 year of lead experienceORMaster’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology/Industrial Design TechnologyAt least 6 years of industrial design experienceAt least 1 year of lead experienceORBachelor’s DegreeAt least 10 years of industrial design experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
