Buckhead, GA office- 5 days/week in officeOverview:The Cloud Service Engineer will support the Servigistics products across the PTC private cloud. This role will be responsible for every facet of the SAAS lifecycle: from initial installation, upgrades, promotions to production, monitoring, technical support, and incident response. The role report into the Servigistics software operations and support group and work with many supporting departments, ranging from R&D, networking, DBA's, and systems.Responsibilities:Prioritize issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution or escalation of all issues efficiently within our ticketing systemFocus on providing and documenting solutions and root cause analysis for medium complexity customer issues, using a customer-centered approachInstall PTC Application Software and its supporting approved 3rd Party Software (for example Apache, tomcat, Intellicus, Kettle etc.)Resolves issues and makes decisions pertaining to the configuration of PTC ApplicationsFacilitate communication between customers and internal teams to resolve issuesExecution of documented upgrade procedures for PTC applications using PTC upgrade toolsExecute build deployments according to providing instructionsSkills and Knowledge:Installing/configuring Apache, Java, TomcatBasic Oracle commands (select, insert, delete, join)Linux operating systemETL tools (Pentaho PDI, Informatica IICS, Informatica PowerCenter)Troubleshooting skillsPreferred background:2+ years working in an IT Help Desk type environmentUnderstanding of Cloud technologyBasic command line Linux SkillsBasic Oracle skillsBasic troubleshooting skillsBasic Qualifications:Associates degree in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.) + 2 years of technical work experience OR Bachelors in a technical field (IT, CS, Programming, etc.)Must be a US CitizenMust have or be able to obtain a Security level clearanceAt PTC, we believe in the power of diverse ideas and perspectives.
