Job Location: ChennaiJob DescriptionWe are looking for a
Data Scientist lead to analyze large amounts of raw data to find patterns that will help improve our client’s business processes.
We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights. In this role, you should be highly analytical with a flair for analysis, math/statistics and AIML.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data.
We also want to see a
passion for machine-learning and research.
Your goal will be to help our clients analyze trends to make better decisions and develop new data products to serve our clients better.Roles and Responsibilities:Understand the business landscape and convert the business requirements to analytical deliverables.Interface with business and technical teams to make the analytics/data science process smoother and effective.Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.Combine models through ensemble modeling.Present information using data visualization techniques.Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.Requirements and Skills:Proven experience as a Data Science lead.Experience in multiple domains – marketing, customer, social intelligence.Led a team of data scientists in projects in multiple domains.Experience in Data management for analytics.Experience in data mining and text mining.Understanding of machine-learning and operations research.Analytical mind and business acumen.Strong math skills (specifically applied statistics, algebra).Problem-solving aptitude.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Knowledge of Tools:Knowledge of
R, SQL and Python.Experience with at least two of the major frameworks –
Tensorflow, PyTorch, MXNet, Sagemaker, H2O, SparkML.Familiarity with
Scala, Java or C++
is an asset.Experience using
business intelligence
tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop).Should have completed models in customer life
cycle and/or NLP.Should have life
cycle modeling and delivery experience.Educational Qualifications:Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field or master degree in computer applications, Statistics, Operations research.Master degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.Experience:Should have a
8+ years of experience in analytics/data science and 3+ years of experience in leading analytics/data science teams.
