We’re looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our IT team and ensure the efficiency and security of our technology infrastructure.Position Overview:The System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. This role will be integral in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring high levels of performance and security in line with Allstate's standards.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain servers, both physical and virtual (Windows, Linux).Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime and performance.Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and ensure secure integration between cloud and on-premises systems.Perform regular system updates, security patches, and software upgrades.Manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols to safeguard Allstate’s IT environment.Implement data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to protect critical company data.Collaborate with various IT teams, developers, and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.Maintain detailed system documentation and provide technical support to users.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).Qualifications:3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS).Experience with server management (Windows, Linux) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).Solid knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Why Join Allstate?At Allstate, we are committed to fostering a dynamic work environment where employees can grow and thrive.
