Using the patented HealthRules software suite, health plans, health insurance companies, and other payors can respond to new business opportunities and market changes quickly while reducing both IT and operational costs.Position Overview:HealthEdge is looking for a Senior Java Developer who is passionate about solving real-world business problems to join our team. As a senior member, you will develop solutions that help our customers integrate with our product suite, engaging in design discussions, coding on the backend, and working heavily with the database and J2EE/integration technologies.Your Impact:Work as part of an agile team to implement new features according to requirements while adhering to best coding standards.Conduct detailed designs and lead design whiteboarding and creation of solution architecture.Lead in work-breakdown of tasks and help with backlog grooming by breaking down epics into stories that meet Definition of Ready.Lead peer reviews of design and code.Coordinate release management and bug triaging.Lead technical discussions with HealthEdge customers to find optimal solutions.Conduct bug fixing and implement configuration migration processes.Perform data loads for UAT readiness and during UAT as requested by the UAT plan.Support resolution of customer issues in production and non-production environments.Contribute to authoring Implementation Operational Information for the Support team.Perform configuration migration and other PROD readiness technical tasks.What You Bring:BS/BA in Computer Science or related field.Excellent analysis, consulting, and communication skills.Minimum of 6 years of development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.Hands-on experience with Core Java, XML, Web Services, JMS, and SQL.Experience in complex data analysis, data migrations, and system integration of software products.Development experience on the Linux operating system and WebLogic Application Server.Experience with integration middleware or enterprise system bus technologies.Experience with Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns.Familiarity with source control software, unit testing, and build automation/CI tools.Experience in tuning Java applications and SQL databases; familiarity with Docker, K8S, and Web Service testing tools is a plus.Experience in the health insurance industry preferred.Experience with agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.HealthEdge commits to building an inclusive environment and culture that supports diverse representation in our teams.
