TeamHealth is seeking a pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) leader for the role of pediatric medical director at Grand Strand Medical Center. In addition, you will join as core faculty for an ACGME-accredited three-year emergency medicine (EM) residency program with 12 residents per year. This leadership opportunity will report directly to the regional medical director and vice president of operations and will be responsible for the oversight of a growing team of clinicians and advanced practice clinicians.
Annual pediatric volume: 11,000
10-bed pediatric emergency department (ED)
8-bed peds ICU
Pediatric admission rate: 10-15%
EMR is Meditech
Candidates must be board certified in EM with pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) fellowship or dual board certified emergency medicine and pediatrics. Apply today!

It is a designated Level II trauma center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility specializes in emergency medicine, cardiology and women's health. Grand Strand Regional Medical Center encompasses several other facilities including South Strand, a free-standing emergency medicine department located in South Myrtle Beach, North Strand, also a free-standing emergency medicine department, an advanced wound center and the Carolina Forest Imaging Center.
