The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This position involves receiving incoming materials, organizing inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceive incoming shipments of
raw materials, components, and supplies.Inspect received items for
accuracy, quality, and condition, reporting any discrepancies or damages
to the appropriate personnel.Verify received quantities
against purchase orders or packing slips and update inventory records
accordingly.Organize and maintain inventory
storage areas to ensure efficient access and proper stock rotation.Prepare outgoing shipments by
picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders or
shipping instructions.Coordinate with carriers and
freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and
cost-effective transportation.Generate shipping documents,
including bills of lading, packing lists, and export/import documentation,
and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Utilize shipping software or
ERP systems to track shipments, update delivery statuses, and maintain
accurate records.Collaborate with internal
departments, such as customer service, production, purchasing, and quality
control, to resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues.Maintain cleanliness and
organization in the shipping and receiving area, adhering to safety
protocols and regulatory standards.Assist in periodic inventory
counts and audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.Participate in continuous
improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
within the shipping and receiving function.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or
equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain
management is a plus.Previous experience in
shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing
environment.Familiarity with inventory
management systems, shipping software, and MS Office applications.Requires general knowledge of
the ERP (Syteline knowledge is a plus)GENERAL SKILLS:Fluent in English, with the
ability to speak, read, and write effectively.Strong attention to detail and
accuracy in handling paperwork and inventory records.Excellent communication skills
and the ability to interact professionally with internal and external
stakeholders.Ability to lift and move heavy
objects, operate material handling equipment, and perform physical tasks
as needed.Willingness to work flexible
hours, including evenings or weekends, to accommodate shipping schedules
and production demands.Knowledge of safety regulations
and best practices in warehouse operations.
