Amazon seeks an experienced business analyst to be a key member of the Sales Strategy and Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to support and influence the strategy of Amazon retail, with a focus on delivering data and insights on business performance.
As a Business Analyst, you will partner with Sales, marketing, finance, and analytical professionals to provide data and insights that influence and support critical business decisions. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple projects across several stakeholders effectively. This role also has regular interaction with various businesses and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilitiesServe as the key business performance partner working directly with Sales, marketing, finance, and other stakeholders across US teamsDevelop, launch, and optimize business performance mechanismsDeliver data, analysis, insights, and recommendations to help shape Sales and marketing strategiesLead business performance analysis and reporting, including preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviewsPartner with Business, Sales, Marketing, and Finance leaders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that influence business decisions
A day in the life
Working closely with Sales, finance leaders on analytical projectsWriting SQL queries and creating business intelligence reportsDefining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
About the team
Sales Strategy & Operations (SSO) team enables Account Reps (ARs) to be more productive, and recruitment processes to be more efficient and effective, while maximizing seller success and experience. SSO will enable the headline “sellers choose to invest more in Amazon because of the growth we enable through our Account Reps.” To deliver on this vision and effectively serve our customers (Account Reps and sellers).BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experienceBachelor's degree or equivalentExperience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insightsExperience with ExcelExperience with SQLExperience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholdersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
