The Director of Psychiatry is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services to patients and offering clinical consultation to mental health and healthcare staff. They oversee the operations of the psychiatric team and ensure that all mental health treatments are compliant with state and federal regulations. The Director of Psychiatry works to promote a positive patient experience and ensure quality care delivery.Key Responsibilities

Provides professional psychiatric services in compliance with company and state/federal regulations.Oversees and supervises all psychiatric services at the facility level, including coordination with other medical staff and referral to support services as needed.Maintains accurate and complete documentation of psychiatric evaluations, treatments, and medication administration for compliance monitoring and patient safety.Provides on-call psychiatric services as scheduled and needed, including consultation and training services to mental health and medical staff.Exercises independent medical judgment in diagnosing and treating patients, with adherence to approved medication formulary and approval for non-formulary items from Regional Psychiatric Director.Qualifications & Requirements

EducationMedical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) from an accredited university.ExperienceExperience in treating psychiatric disorders.Experience in acute care and/or institutional setting preferred.Skilled in organization, supervision, and state of the art treatment interventions.Licenses/CertificationsLicensed or licensable in the state of employment.Board certification in Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred.CPR CertifiedLicensed Psychiatrist required.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
