We are a career destination with nearly 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diversity of our community.TMH is the region’s healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region’s only:Level II Trauma CenterJoint Commission Comprehensive Stroke CenterLevel III Neonatal Intensive CarePediatric Intensive CareThe most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the PanhandleOur system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, four residency programs and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices.HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTJob Summary:Intermediate-level certified cardiovascular technologist.Utilizes working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.Works under a moderate degree of supervision within standard operating procedures (SOP) and/or scientific methods.Aids physicians during electrophysiology (EP) procedures, providing technical support and basic patient care under the oversight of physicians, nurses, and Cardiovascular Techs/Cert III (JC: 444702).Assists with and/or performs all job-related functions for loop implants/removals/changeouts, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures, cardioversion, noninvasive programming studies (NIPS), temporary pacemaker (PM) procedures, venograms, electrophysiology studies, right-sided ablations, PM placements, automated implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD) placements, device changeouts, hematoma evacuations, cryoablations, left bundle branch block (LBBB) procedures, biventricular (BiV) device procedures, Micra PM procedures, left atrial appendage (LAA) (i.e., Watchman) closure device procedures, subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) procedures, pericardiocentesis, and atrial fibrillation (A-fib) tier 1 ablations.Charges cases. Monitors devices, flutters, and supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) (i.e., atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia (AVNRT) and atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia (AVRT)).Provides the highest quality patient care and ensures safety during patients’ stays in the EP Laboratory.Works within Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) and EP Laboratory guidelines, policies, and procedures while complying The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements and achieving National Patient Safety Goals.Reports:

NoneWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLYRequired Education:Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.Required Experience:Six (6) months of relevant job-related experience.Preferred Qualifications:One year of job-related experience. Knowledge of radiation safety practice standards. Ability to perform all Cardiovascular Tech/Cert II essential job responsibilities described below.Required Certification/License/Registry:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) certification, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential, or other recognized related Human Resources (HR) approved certification(s).If you are interested in becoming a part of TMH’s legacy of quality & compassionate healthcare, we want to know you.Please submit your application & resume TODAY!
