DirectViz Solutions, LLC. is a high-level, strategic consulting services firm that meets mission IT needs for government clients. We are looking to hire a full time Systems Engineer. The work location will be Alexandria, VA.

Description:

The candidate will be customer facing and must possess outstanding customer service and communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for dedicated support of specific business units for the client. This includes dedicated Tier 3 support of Mac and PC Operating systems, workstations and business applications in an enterprise environment and may include definition of requirements, research, analysis, and selection of COTS solutions or designing custom solutions, analysis of security impact, definition of test plans, use/test cases and pilot testing the solution. The candidate will work directly with the client and their contractors in a collaborative fashion to define solutions to meet the client's business needs. Candidates will communicate with employees and contractors; displaying strong customer service skills, using professionalism, tact and diplomacy.

Required Skills

Minimum of 8 years' systems analyst/engineer

Advanced knowledge working with Microsoft Intune

Knowledge working with MECM including:

packaging, entitling, monitoring and reporting applications and packages

development, testing and entitlement of Task Sequences

Knowledge developing and using Powershell scripts or other scripting tools

Imaging and Deployment of workstations

Knowledge working with Hyena and/or Active Directory Users and Computers

Advanced knowledge of Mac and PC workstation hardware components, peripherals and software configuration

Tier 3 support of IT equipment/business applications (Diagnosis/Remediation, Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, Performance Analysis/Tuning)

Experience with requirements analysis and developing software requirements

Experience performing software testing

Technical writing and business communications

Background working in Tier I/II support/systems analysis/quality assurance in an IT environment

Effective written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills

Knowledge of macOS and Mac application configuration

Knowledge working with Jamf or equivalent

ITIL Service Management

Security Vulnerability remediation

CRM/Ticketing Systems usage

Responsibilities include:

Development and deployment of operating systems, applications and software updates through Intune and MECM

Development and deployment of configuration profiles and compliance policies through Intune and MECM

Tier 3 support of workstation, print, and business applications

Facilitate the gathering in requirements including documentation of business and technical requirements and documentation of a requirements traceability matrix.

Perform research and analysis of various COTS solutions to meet the requirements

Performs architectural design for the solution including hardware, software, security, database, and data flow definition.

Performs technical design of the solution including documentation of technical and architectural design and updating requirements traceability matrix.

Performs analysis of security risks associated with the solution.

Responsible for synthesizing customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.

Coordinates testing activities.

Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

Conducts software testing, verification and validation.

Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract.

Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Defines implementation plan and communicates with release management team to indicate readiness to transition to operations.

Communicates release schedules to the client business units

Defines/reviews training plan in coordination with the solution and implementation plan documents

Documenting and Tracking Change Requests, Problems, and customer Incidents and Requests

Daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports on productivity, tasks and accomplishments

Attending required technical meetings
