GovCIO is currently seeking an Appian Frontend Development Lead to collaborate and implement with cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering impactful features. This pivotal role will help coordinate the development efforts across different departments to ensure timely and efficient feature rollouts. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance on Appian product configuration, mapping of requirements and rulesets to Appian objects and process flow, design review, performance testing, scaling, and industry-specific knowledge.Provide expert leadership and guidance on projects including enterprise application architecture, design review, technical mentorship, and industry-specific knowledge.Oversee and guide both problem analysis and technical solution implementation through final testing and knowledge transfer.Lead a team of Appian Consultants and ensure timely delivery in project-related tasks.Design, create high-level solutions, and implement the solutions for customers by understanding their requirements and driving the same with the development team.Review and guide project teams in the areas of Appian BPM Solution design, Process modeling, Solution development, System and Application integration approaches, Deployment, and Optimization.Develop components and artifacts in the areas of Appian Solution design, Process modeling, Solution development, System and Application Integration approaches, Deployment, and Optimization.Liaison with customers to collect, clarify, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical design and implementation.Produce rulesets, configurations, process workflows, and technical solutions for development and support requirement gathering sessions.Collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the client enterprise while leading large, multi-year program initiatives.Create and maintain business process and technical documentation including workflows, architecture diagrams, interface diagrams, and design best practices.Participate in meetings with clients, business analysis teams, and internal technical and operational teams.Possess extensive knowledge of Appian’s proprietary Case Management and Business Process Management software.Have experience in Appian 18.x (and above) design, implementation, and the ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian applications and prototypes.Implement design, development, and testing best practices across the entire software development life cycle.Provide leadership on process improvement, mentorship, training, and enablement of resources.QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of experience (or commensurate experience). 3+ years of experience in IT with responsibilities in one or more of the areas - Application Development, Business process management, and/or Enterprise Application Integration (SOA) with Appian or other BPM tools.3+ years in defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views.3+ years of experience in Enterprise Application integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier client-server architectures preferred.3+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business-critical applications following Agile methodologies.3+ years of Business Architecture including identifying & decomposing business capabilities.3+ years of Business process modeling & optimization experience.3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian.3+ years of experience developing Appian Plugin.3+ years of working knowledge of Application Servers like JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat as part of the installation.3+ years experienced in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer.Presenting demos to customers.Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and configurations of Appian BPM.Must have excellent analytical and technical skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.Must be able to work with business users and business analysis teams to gather and refine requirements.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Preferred Skills and Experience:2+ years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages – Appian BPM, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net.Experience working with Appian Sites.3+ years of experience with Agile Framework.Orchestration of modeled processes through a Workflow application.Ability to understand the long-term (
