The Database Engineer will be a part of the game creation process, including architectural design, implementation, and debugging on multiple platforms—working on complex problems with Designers, Artists and other Engineers in domains including rendering, gameplay, audio, user interface, online, physics, databases and tools. You will report to the team's manager and work with your peers on developing the game's foundation layer.
Your Responsibilities
Collaborate with other disciplines to gather requirements
Write technical designs
Modify SQL Database Schemas
Implement C++ code
Troubleshoot and fix bugs
Work with proprietary tools to manage and export game data
Work with people on a large team both locally and remotely.
Use common software engineering design patterns and paradigms.
Your Qualifications
Strong knowledge of C++
Experience with C#, SQL Databases, HTTP, and REST-based APIs
Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability
Strong time management and communication skills
Attention to detail
Experience working with JSON and XML data formats
