Overview:The Subject Matter Expert provides expert advice and recommendations for programs, contracts, and/or topics relevant to his/her area of expertise.Primary Responsibilities:
Provides subject matter expertise for specific contracts and programsAttends meetings and provides input associated with his/her area of expertiseParticipates in writing/formulating documents and evaluations/recommendationsServes as an interagency liaison in area of expertiseMay serve as a lead instructor for any classes associated with his/her area of expertiseSupervisory Responsibilities:
None.Education and/or Experience:
Master of Arts or Science (MA/MS) degree in an associated discipline;At least twenty (20) years of progressively advancing career experience;Twenty (20) years of experience in area of expertise.Two (2) years as a Subject Matter Expert II preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Solid interpersonal skills and attention to detailExcellent writing and communications skillsAbility to advise on organizational performance, strategic planning, and interact with high-level government officialsInstructor experience preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None.Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizenPossess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearancePhysical Demands:
The physical demands that will be required inside the workplace and for the position. Must lift, will sit, answer the phone, type on a keyboard, move files, etc.Travel:
None.Work Environment:
