This position is responsible for driving the state’s strategic goals for cloud architecture, compliance, security, and adoption. The role emphasizes a cloud-smart approach, evaluating each business solution to ensure that cloud migration is the optimal choice. This position will collaborate closely with the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to configure cloud environments that meet federal and state security standards, enforcing robust risk mitigation, user permissions, access controls, and audit logging.Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation of cloud architecture aligned with the state's strategic goals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security protocols.Cloud-Smart Evaluation: Assess each business solution to determine whether cloud migration is the best option, balancing innovation with practicality.Security and Compliance: Partner with the CISO to ensure that cloud environments are configured to meet stringent security measures, including risk assessment, access management, and audit trails.Risk Management: Understand and evaluate the acceptable level of risk for each business unit, implementing data integrity, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies that are cost-effective and sustainable.Process and Policy Development: Establish and refine processes for the deployment and support of cloud services, including Tiers 1, 2, and 3 support. Recommend and advocate for policy changes to enhance cloud service delivery and sustainability.Team Management: Lead and manage a technical team responsible for supporting Citrix, Google Workspace, and FTP services. Ensure that the team delivers high-quality, reliable support to meet the needs of the organization.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business owners to align cloud and service management strategies with organizational goals, ensuring the financial viability of cloud and on-premises service initiatives.Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging trends in cloud and related technologies, including Citrix, Google Workspace, and FTP, and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain the state’s competitive edge and operational efficiency.Performs other duties as assigned.*As a condition of employment, an inquiry into job-related information will be completed which may include, but not be limited to, criminal records, abuse registry records, driving records, employment history, and education and training. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.Experience:

Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in computer programming, office automation planning, purchasing and implementation of hardware and software, teleprocessing, system analysis, or supervision of computer operations.
