PMHNP Requirements
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental HealthCurrent licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment settingStrong clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
PMHNP Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for clients within 48 hours of admissionDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansProvide follow-up care and medication managementLead twice-monthly therapy groupsParticipate in quarterly leadership meetings and weekly triage meetingsCollaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver holistic careMaintain accurate and timely documentationStay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric and substance abuse care
Pay: Up to $130,000
