to join our team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Gun Computer System (GCS) Mark (MK) 160 program. The successful candidate will be a key member of a high-performing DoD Weapons team. This position is located in
Dahlgren, VA .Responsibilities:Coding weapon controls capabilities / functionalities for the improvement of existing system baselines and the integration of new technologies for future planned baselinesProposing and demonstrating technical approaches in alignment with military standards and specificationsDebugging and conducting root cause analysis for system anomalies observed in fielded and development systemsWorking within an Agile Scrum Team to ensure Sprint tasking objectives are metAdhering to prescribed configuration management for all codingEssential Skills and Experience:Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security ClearanceA Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical disciplineMinimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering applied to program development, modeling, and/or simulationTwo (2) years of experience with Navy or Joint systemsDemonstrates understanding of technical aspects required to develop large complex software-intensive systemsProficient in software development using at least two (2) of the following:WindowsVarious Linux distributions (e.g. Red Hat)C/C++ and Java programming languagesAbility to write unit tests for Java and/or C++ user interfacesWillingness to develop software using pair programming and swarming techniques under agile processesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiativeSCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
