Job Description:
As an Operation and Maintenance Cloud Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the ongoing administration, management, and support of cloud-based Linux environments. Your role will include monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Manage and maintain cloud-based Linux servers on platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or other cloud services. Configure and manage virtual machines, containers, and other cloud resources. Implement best practices for cloud security, including the use of firewalls, VPNs, and encryption. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability. Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to cloud Linux environments. Implement and manage system monitoring tools, logs, and alerts. Maintenance and Upgrades:
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups. Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime. Optimize system performance and resource utilization. Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Security and Compliance:
Ensure cloud environments comply with security policies and regulations. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Implement and manage access controls and identity management systems. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions. Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployment and management. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration, with at least 2 years in a cloud environment. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab. Skills: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems. Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl. Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of database administration in cloud environments. Benefits:
