ContractMinimum Requirements:Resumes must show 6+ years of Cerner Integration experienceResumes must show 6+ years of HL7 (FHIR) experienceDay to Day:Seeking a Senior Architect to join the Application team for a program focused on integrating Athena and Cerner EHRs into a unified patient portal. This person will support the delivery of EHR application support and help the program team understand the development path for new portal integration, participate in discussions at all levels, and determine support needs.Must Haves:Extensive Healthcare IT Application, EHR, Integration, & Digital Expertise (min 8-10 years)Understanding of application & data integration, HL7/FHIR standards change advocate – understanding FHIR and FHIR operation endpointsExperienced with multiple EHR systems preferably Athena and Cerner – understanding integration points and data movementsPast large scale & fast paced program experienceSelf-motivatorStrong communication & organization skillsSkills/Experience:Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languagesExperience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clientsExperience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendationsAbility to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignmentsRequires practical experience and trainingJob Description:Formulate and define system scope and requirements using analysis of information in the development of information systems.Create and modify procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity.Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.Ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces.Provide detail specifications to developers.Provide technical expertise in evaluating new software/system modifications.Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.Provide daily supervision and direction to staff.Education:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
