Plans and implements direct and indirect care to patients of all ages in the Operating Room. Prepares and maintains aseptic surgical procedures performed in surgery, functioning in a scrub role and part of the OR team. Processes contaminated surgical instruments through cleaning, sterilization, and re-setting the surgical trays using established guidelines, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONSHigh school graduate, CST preferred3-5 years similar experience in an ASC intraoperative setting, orthopedic/spine experience preferredAbility to make sound, reasonable decisionsDemonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to changeAbility to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tactHighly organized with ability to concentrate on many detailed requestsAbility to develop excellent working relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff
