Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom experience, excellent writing and negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch representation in complex civil cases. This role offers the opportunity to handle high-stakes litigation, collaborate with talented attorneys, and develop strategies that drive successful outcomes for clients.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and file persuasive legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings, to effectively advocate for clients in civil litigation cases.Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop strong case strategies.Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, including hearings, trials, and pre-trial conferences, while delivering clear and compelling oral arguments.Engage in high-level negotiation and settlement discussions, turning challenging disputes into favorable outcomes for clients.Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.Communicate and collaborate with clients, keeping them informed and advised on case developments, risks, and strategies.Work closely with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to prepare cases and ensure that all legal tasks are completed efficiently.Provide strategic counsel and representation in civil matters such as contract disputes, business litigation, personal injury, real estate litigation, and other complex civil cases.Attend mediation and arbitration proceedings as required to resolve disputes outside of court.Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Florida civil litigation laws and procedures.Requirements:Must be admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing.3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling legal arguments.Experience with client negotiations, including settlement discussions and mediations.Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Confidence in the courtroom and the ability to present complex legal arguments in a clear, persuasive manner.Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work as part of a team to solve challenging legal problems.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Florida Bar.Skills:Expertise in civil litigation, including knowledge of Florida state and federal civil procedure.Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.Strong courtroom presence and ability to confidently present arguments in hearings and trials.Proficiency in negotiation and mediation, with the ability to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stakes cases with professionalism.
