Highway Project Engineer
– We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.Responsibilities:Lead the design team developing roadway improvements for highway-related projectsPlan, coordinate, and oversee project team scheduling and progressReview and seal plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of RecordComplete designated assignments and report progress to project managersMentor, review, and check work of junior staffPerform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetingsParticipate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projectionsWork collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clientsAttend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business developmentPerform complex design functionsMonitor the performance of projects, including quality, schedule, and budgetKnowledge of construction techniquesQualifications:Minimum 6 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projectsBS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is requiredPE license requiredStrong work ethicAbility to work in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMicroStation and InRoads or OpenRoads experience requiredAbility to perform project site visitsPennDOT experience requiredSAI is an Employee-Owned corporation with a comprehensive benefit package offering:Remote work considerations401(k) and ESOP retirement plansPaid time offEducational assistance packagesQualified applicants should submit current resume and salary history in confidence to:Equal Opportunity Employer; Drug-Free Workplace
