HH is assisting our Indy-based global manufacturing client in their search for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing team. The Corporate Tax Manager is a key member of the Corporate finance and accounting team and is responsible for accurate tax compliance in the U.S. federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions and assists with strategic international tax planning strategies, reporting, and compliance. Job Responsibilities:
Review monthly, quarterly, and year-end domestic tax provisions, along with reviewing and posting journal entries to various tax accounts.
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement tax footnote disclosures in accordance with SEC regulations and ASC 740.
Maintain and enforce arms-length transfer pricing policies, compliance, and documentation through coordination with foreign controllers and external consultants.
Facilitate and manage the timely preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns along with other tax forms, census forms, and other business-related filings.
Review quarterly estimate and annual extension payments for all federal income, state income, and state franchise taxes.
Respond to tax notices timely to ensure federal and state tax compliance, and communicate any changes in tax positions to corporate finance.
Manage tax audits and effectively interact with federal, state, and local tax authorities.
Assist and advise on tax due diligence for acquisitions.
Manage the sales and use tax process for accurate collection and compliance.
Prepare various annual filings, including Forms 1099, 1042, and FinCEN Form 114.
Review tax attributes for new and disposed fixed assets.
Establish effective working relationships with the domestic and foreign accounting personnel to provide planning, analysis, and control support for the Company’s tax related operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA required
5+ years of tax preparation and review experience
International experience a plus
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Transfer pricing experience is a plus
Strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, highly organized, and excellent leadership skills
