As a

Manager-Information Technology,

you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

The Manager - Information Technology (Network Services) is responsible for overseeinga team that designs, implements and maintains S&Cs global networking infrastructure. This role involves the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company's network infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco products and technologies. The Manager ensures that all network components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and other hardware, are optimized for performance, security, and scalability. This role also involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to align network strategies with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Development:

Develop and implement strategic plans for the network infrastructure, aligning with business objectives. This includes planning for network scalability, future technology integration, and disaster recovery processes .

Network Infrastructure Management:

Oversee a team that is responsible for the design, deployment, and optimization of the company's network infrastructure. This includes managing network nodes, ensuring redundancy and failover capabilities, and optimizing network performance to meet business requirements.

Network Solutions:

Ensure the effective implementation and management of network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, ISP circuits and software-defined networking (SDN).

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with network vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure that all network-related procurements align with budget constraints and organizational needs.

Network Security & Compliance:

Oversee the implementation and management of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and lead efforts to regularly audit and update security protocols.

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Implement and oversee network monitoring systems to ensure the early detection and resolution of network issues. Responsible for coordinating responses to network incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative and automation measures .

Cross-Functional Partnership:

Partner with other IT teams, business units, and external partners to design and implement network solutions that support business processes. This includes coordinating with security, systems, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Leadership & People Management:

Lead, inspire, develop and maintain a high-performing team. Leader appropriate and professional workplace behaviors, address/mediate conflicts to restore harmony, and support a positive, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture by S&C's mission, vision, values, and guiding principles. Manage administrative team member processes, including but not limited to recruitment, induction, vacation management, performance reviews, development plans, performance improvement plans, and workforce/succession planning. Proactively establish, monitor, and hold team members accountable to clear responsibilities and accountabilities; provide ongoing performance feedback, both positive and developmental; address performance gaps promptly; recognize and reward achievements; and initiate decisions for corrective actions and terminations where required. Foster a culture that supports the growth and development of team members and proactively train, mentor, and coach team members.

Budget Management:

Monitor and manage the day-to-day of the Network Admin teams' impacts to the IT budget, ensuring expenses adhere to planned spend and support the achievement of departmental strategies and objectives.

Compliance:

Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Required

10-12 years of experience in network administration, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Bachelor's Degree within IT or related field

Deep knowledge of Cisco network solutions, including the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco hardware and software. Able to stay current with Cisco's product offerings and advancements in networking technology.

Excellent understanding of network design principles, including LAN/WAN architecture, IP addressing, and routing protocols with a proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing large-scale network infrastructures.

Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, using advanced network monitoring and analysis tools. The ability to perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions is critical.

Excellent leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results, build the team and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and outcomes, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity.

Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive decisions and achieve targeted results.

Ability to use business acumen and analytical skills to analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.

Skilled at navigating through ambiguity and navigating team and stakeholders through change.

Foundational financial acumen with the ability to provide input to budgetary processes for utmost fiscal effectiveness.

Ability to travel as required.

Preferred

Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification

Master's Degree within IT or related field

Physical Requirements
