This is a Full Time (72 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 12-Hour Day shifts (1900-0730) on varied days including some holidays and weekends. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7k.

We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses striving for patient excellence in Surgical Acute 2 North at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

Coordinating and consulting with members of the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Monitoring patients’ progress towards goals of care and updating physicians on changes in status.

Developing and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients to understand and advocate for their needs and assist in healing.

Providing care for up to five medical-surgical patients by completing neurovascular assessments, performing wound care, monitoring drains, completing blood transfusions, inserting Foley catheters, titrating heparin drips, and analyzing EKGs.

Being proficient in utilizing EPIC software to document interventions provided and record patient progress.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive, the following criteria must be met:

Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

Must remain in original department/specialty

Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
