The Surgical Services Director is responsible for the daily operations of the Operating Room, Same Day Services, Sterile Processing, Chemo Infusion, Endoscopy and Post Anesthesia Care Unit.Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesSupervision of all personnel, clinical activity, ongoing education, participation in performance Improvement projects, consultant activities.Establishes policy and procedures for the department in accordance with Joint Commission, state and federal regulations, and hospital administration guidelines assure safety and service for our patients.Responsible for daily operation, staffing, and following productivity standards of the organization.Assist with budgeting and capital requests for the department.Collaborates with the Surgical Committee Chair and the Anesthesia group to review policy and procedures for the department and implement any necessary changes.Collaborates with the Clinical Services Manager on a daily basis regarding staffing needs and patient care issues.Serves in a multi-disciplinary capacity providing general services to a wide variety of populations including pediatric, medical, surgical, chemotherapy, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, postpartum and nursery.Educate staff on updates with Epic systems as needed.Communicate issues with the Vice President of Patient Care on a regular and as needed basis.Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications

RequirementsBachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience.Graduate from accredited school of nursing.RN licensure from State of Minnesota Board of Nursing.BLS.Minimum of three years OR experience in operating room and one year in leadership role.PreferredACLS.AORN.Pay Range

$38.63 - $56.01 /hour
