Systems / Network Administrator

to work alongside our government customers at the Naval Research Laboratory. In this contingent position, the successful candidate will be supporting infrastructure and networked technologies while ensuring our customer’s networked technologies are maintained and fully compliant, meeting all applicable security and configuration requirements. This position is expected to start late summer or early fall 2024, supporting the Office of Naval Research and the Naval Research Laboratory on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved.Responsibilities:Support infrastructure and networked technologiesTrack and document IAVA/IAVB compliance with the base’s Cybersecurity OfficeImplement and administer network management solutionsRequired Qualifications:5-7 years of recent and relevant work experienceBachelor’s degree in information technology or related fieldTS clearance with SCI eligibilityRelevant experience in the R&D information technology fieldConfiguration management and network administration experienceExperience managing Windows or Unix operating systems in LAN/WAN environmentsAt the discretion of the Government, specialized experience may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements.Desired Qualifications:Cyber vulnerability management experience8+ years of relevant experienceExperience working on Office of Naval Research and/or NRL-funded programsCompany Information:Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
